5. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you request deletion of your account, we will remove your personal data within 30 days, except where we are required to retain it by law. Approved reviews that mention you may be retained in anonymised form.

We take reasonable technical measures to protect your data, including:

  • Passwords hashed with bcrypt — they are never stored in plain text.
  • All connections served over HTTPS with a Let's Encrypt SSL certificate.
  • Database accessible only from the local server (not exposed to the internet).
  • Account activation required before a musician profile goes public.

No method of electronic storage is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password and keep it private.

7. Third-Party Services

Our map feature uses OpenStreetMap tiles (osm.org), which are loaded from OpenStreetMap servers when you view the map. Please refer to the OpenStreetMap Foundation Privacy Policy for information on how they handle tile-request data.

We may use SMTP email providers (such as Gmail) to deliver verification and notification emails. These providers only receive the email address and message content necessary to deliver the email.
